Ok, anyone who knows me and knows this blog will have noticed that I absolutely love the korean brand Nabi Korea – though they are from uber urban Seoul City they manage to product a fashion line which contstantly keeps the classic asian style and vibe alive – exotic prints, extravagant fabrics and gorgeous draped kimono style dresses are key pieces of every season of Nabi Korea. We’ve just had a look around for what they have waiting for is for this season et voila:
This lovely little indigo tunic top is a perfect example of Nabi elegance – draped V-neck, a mix of florals and oriental paisley print and elegant short flutter sleeves.
Literally translated as the two Korean words ‘me’ and ‘free’, Nabi offers trend-setting Asian fashion pieces inspired by tradition, heritage and Asian beauty for women who want to be modern without losing their sensual Asian style.
Keeping in sync with the floral trend for their autumn 09 collection – this kimono sleeve top is a perfect way to turn a pair of skinny jeans and high heels into evening wear – there is no bar or restaurant you couldn’t go to with this!
Established in 2004 in South Korea, the company designs affordable, original and creative pieces for young to mature women.
If you are looking for a cut a bit more structured than a floaty dress or a light floral blouse – then this wrap jacket is perfect – elegant kimono sleeves with an extra large white hem – black and white florals still manage to keep it fresh without any blast of colour…can be matched with skirts, dresses or jeans – I would even say dress shorts!
Exotic florals are something we immediately associate with Asian elegance and Nabi Korea have fully blended florals into their Autumn 09 collection – classic Kimono style dresses, Kimono sleeve tops, wrap jackets – you name it – they all come in fabulous kimono sleeves is lovely autumn colours – dark reds, greys, blacks and exotic hues of blue…
You might not think bright green and magenta are colours to throw together – but Nabi Korea let the natural world of flowers show us how and bring us a gorgeous combination of bright green (almost fluro if you ask me?!) and deep tones of magenta and purple…and why not mix the fabrics too – blend floaty chiffon with rich velvet…the guys over at Nabi Korea show us exactly how to do it!
I myself recently bought some gorgeous Nabi Korea dresses in the gorgeous style they do so well – figure hugging body, big big kimono sleeves, extravagant satins and silk fabrics and exotic colours and prints – will put up pics of my little brand new nabi korea dresses as soon as I can get some pics together
