We’ve had to have a look around for some more new brands and it seems like we’ve neglected the Hong Kong fashion scene ever so lightly lately…so time to have a look we say!

What did we find? Looks like oversize plaid shirts, big checks and chunky stripes are currently all over Hong Kong…

Orange and cerise mixed oversize checked shirt…wear it as a shirt dress? Wear it with cowboy boots? Wear it open over a white racerback tank top as a shirt-gone-cardi kind of look hanging open? Definitely wear it with a low hip belt and some hot black leggings!

If the shirt dress isn’t fitting enough for you and you are looking to have something that doesn’t get mistaken for your boyfriend’s shirt…then go for this more fitted plaid dress version in a great autumn purple…roll those sleeves up just a bit, get a woolly beanie going and those white heart shaped buttons make you just that little more kawaii

This casual oversize jumper with chunky stripes is absolutely perfect for some casual weekend stripes – go for brunch with friends on a late saturday morning, go browsing through sunday markets, or cuddle up on the sofa with a hot chocolate and a nie girlie DVD…what more could you possibly want from a comfy jumper?!

Ok, so the last edition of South Korean fashion was Nabi Korea, which though absolutely gorgeous, I do understand may not be something that all of us can wear all the time…so I’ve have just had a snoop around for what South Korean brands bring us the latest up to date and happening Fall 09 fashion trends…and I happened to stumble across one called FACOUP which seems to have its pieces pretty spot-on!

This casual top is a great take on the strong shoulder trend which is absolutely everywhere this season. Available in six very versatile and neutral colours, this can definitely be worn to work and costing us only $15.00 a piece there is no reason why we shouldn’t get more than one color?!

Another huge trend this season are the studs – we like studs on everything these days – not just bags and belts and shoes…but jackets, tops and dresses too. And Facoup’s studded miniskirt is absolutely on-trend!! So tailored and slim you can wear it with a white blouse (as in the picture) or throw a blazer over it to make it totally work compatible:

This lovely little mini skirt comes in indigo blue and black – perfect colours to mix and match – wear it with biker boots and a ripped t-shirt to go for a full on rock-chic look or you can pair it with court shoes and a white blouse (throw in a Chanel 2.55 look-alike if you want to top it off) to wear it to the office – going for $35.00…I love black, I love mini, I love studs…need I say what I am most likely to get on next little shopping spree?

A huge huge trend this summer and yes my friends, it will be carrying on into the Fall/ Autumn 09 season as well – Jumpsuits…

If you are lucky enough to be working in anything close to media, publishing, marketing, pr, fashion, advertising…then you could even consider this work wear! Facoup Korea bring us this sort of formal (collar…double breasted with the big buttons etc. etc…) but actually casual (short, sleeveless, playful bow, linen fabric..) jumpsuit for the new season. I personally never got myself a pair a jumpsuit this year – I am just paranoid that they’ll make my bum look way too big…but this one is actually quite cute…I can picture myself on a little sailing holiday along the Greek coast in this.

Ok, anyone who knows me and knows this blog will have noticed that I absolutely love the korean brand Nabi Korea – though they are from uber urban Seoul City they manage to product a fashion line which contstantly keeps the classic asian style and vibe alive – exotic prints, extravagant fabrics and gorgeous draped kimono style dresses are key pieces of every season of Nabi Korea. We’ve just had a look around for what they have waiting for is for this season et voila:

This lovely little indigo tunic top is a perfect example of Nabi elegance – draped V-neck, a mix of florals and oriental paisley print and elegant short flutter sleeves.

Ok, so ever since I’d done the post on majorly stylish blouses from Shy Shy from Hong Kong featuring the gorgeous white blouse – I had secretly been longing to get it, but then I didn’t really have any excuse… so a while later I thought – forget about the excuse, let me celebrate my new job with a huge shopping spree – and woohoo, the white blouse had to be part of it (of course!)…

Ok, I admit my pictures don’t look quite as ultra stylish as those of la hot asian model on the website – but hey, give me a chance to style it and I’ll so get there (my hair is just such a mess right now!).

Atleast I do already have the ripped denim baggy-ish shorts to create the look!

Absolutely loving the lace detailing with the mandarin collar – east meets west meets east again – somewhere in the middle – just as confusing as moi?! Love it.

Yes, I can already see you thinking it gives you bit of that preggers volume – but it doesn’t really – not if you keep it unbuttoned and flow-ey, the lace and linen make it such a perfect summer top – can someone please tell me why didn’t I get this at the beginning of the summer and only just now?!

And to glam it up for the evening we swap the ripped denim shorts for a pair of lace leggings – leggings are such a staple part of my wardrobe anyway (these are from H&M for 7 quid)…and to top that we off we go with the ultimate jacket of the season – the sequin jacket one of course (for more sequin styles, click here) – like this little black sequined bomber I picked up at H&M for 24.99:

And that my friends will then either be topped off with a foxy pair of black stiletto high heels or maybe if it is a bit chilly maybe a pair of overknee boots (also lots more on overknee boots right here)…that is our little session on my romantic white lace blouse from Hong Kong! over and out. merci.
